Due to continued growth within their national security programmes, they are now looking for a skilled Security Research Engineer to strengthen their research capability.

THE SECURITY RESEARCH ENGINEER ROLE:

As a Security Research Engineer, you will work at the forefront of cyber security research, exploring advanced threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. You will design and prototype innovative security solutions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help transition research into deployable capabilities.

This role suits someone who enjoys deep technical problem solving and working in high stakes environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and adversary techniques
  • Designing and developing novel security tools, solutions, and prototypes
  • Conducting vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, and security assessments
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, researchers, and stakeholders
  • Producing technical reports, whitepapers, and customer deliverables
  • Sharing insights and staying current with cyber security developments

SECURITY RESEARCH ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong background in cyber security, computer science, or a related discipline
  • Experience with at least one of reverse engineering, exploit development, malware analysis, or secure software development
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, or similar
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, networks, and system architecture
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capability
