THE SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER ROLE
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering groundbreaking projects across a range of industries. Your work will directly contribute to national security, defence innovation, and engineering excellence. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and development of mechanical solutions for complex challenges
- Producing technical documentation, substantiation calculations, and justifications
- Managing project delivery to ensure time, cost, and quality objectives are met
- Reviewing and assuring quality of work from peers and junior engineers
- Presenting technical solutions to clients and stakeholders
SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER – ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application
- Experience in the full design lifecycle, from concept to development
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety-critical regulations
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Security Clearance: Must hold an active SC or DV clearance
